Happy 6 Month Birthday Noelle!

I took these on the 20th...

Big smiles for daddy!

I love this one!

Look at those toes!

What a big girl Noelle is now!  There have been lots of changes in the last month.

Let's start with sleep... the good news is we have a semi-regular nap schedule.  She takes a 1.5-2 hour morning nap and then takes a 1.5 hour afternoon nap.  Now, she also still needs a late afternoon nap, but for the most part she refuses to take this nap unless I hold her... which I've stopped doing.  So she's usually a hot mess around 5pm or so.  Night time sleeping is not nearly as predictable or wonderful.  Her streak of waking once to eat then going back to sleep ended and now we are back to two feedings a night and sometimes an early morning wake up around 5 or so. We've tried some sleep training, but that doesn't appear to be helping much and we are trying to figure out a way to stop feeding her as much overnight.  She still sleeps in our room in a pack n play, but we are biting the bullet and putting her in Brady's room over Thanksgiving.  Pray for all of us.

Noelle can now roll both ways, although she really prefers hanging out on her stomach most of the time.  She can also sit up without assistance for short spurts, and if she uses her hands to "tripod" she can sit alone for a few minutes.  She loves grabbing toys and stuffing them in her mouth.  She also discovered her feet and loves to grab them whenever the mood strikes.  She is much more giggly and I think one of her favorite things to do is belly laugh for Brady.

We just started feeding her cereal on the 20th... so far she's not a fan and seems to gag.  From what I remember with Brady, his initial reaction was similar.

Also, we ditched the pacifier because Noelle never really seemed that interested in it.  She barely noticed or cared.  We no longer have a single pacifier in our house and it's very freeing.

Finally, Noelle had her 6 month check up on the 19th and she's doing great!  She weighs 15 lbs. 4 oz. and is 26 inches long.  That puts her just above the 50% for height and just under the 50% for weight.
