Here's a demonstration of Noelle trying her hardest to roll from her back to her belly.

Tummy time

What you can't see is that Brady is playing with Noelle.  He is taking all his plastic bugs and putting them in front of Noelle one by one so she can see them :) She loved it.

A Very Happy Noelle

Somebody was happy to take photos!

Brother and Sister

Brady is so much more interested in Noelle now.  He tries to play with her on his own whenever she's awake.

Something that has never once happened before.  I got a picture of them both smiling!!

And Brady giving Noelle hugs and kisses, which he does all the time now without prompting.

4 Months Old!

Hi! I'm 4 months old today!

And I'm trying really hard to sit up on my own... and stare at that orange light on the camera :)

Some smiles

My hands and feet are SO very interesting

And what's over there?!?!

Noelle is four months old already!  So what's new?  Well she started daycare at the beginning of the month at the same place Brady goes.  So far so good.  She naps super crappy, but she usually does that at home, too.  They won't put her on her belly for naps but really naps haven't been that much worse than at home.  She caught her first cold shortly after starting day care and there's nothing shocking about that.  She was not a fan of her stuffy nose and we had a rough week overnight. Also, because she's not used to daycare yet, she comes hope completely exhausted and basically falls asleep right away.  No fun for us but we try to make up for it with lots of quality time on the weekends.

Sleepwise, she still wakes up to eat two times a night most nights.  In addition to that, though, she is up 1-3 other times before 6am.  She likes but doesn't rely on the pacifier, so trying to give that to her does not solve the problem 95% of the time.  She also doesn't like Sean to soothe her to sleep even if he does the same exact thing I do.  And by not like, I mean she wails.  Mommy's tired and hoping there's a light at the end of the tunnel.  We're also hoping sleep gets a little better soon because the move to sharing a room with Brady is looming - one way or another we plan to have Noelle in her crib in their room by the time she's 6 months old.  Naps are typically 45 minutes long and usually happen 4 times a day at home.  Bedtime is usually a strict 6:30... and really by 6pm she's a hot mess, and she's usually up for the day between 6:30 and 7:00.

As for what she's doing... she coos all the time, and usually pretty loudly so that she can be heard over her brother.  She follows us with her eyes/head all around the room, especially Brady.  She bats at and can grab toys like nobody's business.  She loves to stuff her fingers/thumb in her mouth whenever she gets the chance.  One of her favorite things to do, though, is stare adoringly at Brady while he eats a meal.  She is entirely mesmerized by him and he thrives on the attention.  Noelle is also so very close to rolling over from her back to belly.  She gets to her side and throws her head back, but can't quite get her shoulder over.  She has great head control and when we do tummy time she can hold her head up easily and look all around.  Noelle also started giggling a bit in the last couple weeks.

She had her 4 month appointment this past weekend, and she weighs in at 12lbs 14 oz and is 25.5 inches long.  That puts her in the 50% for weight and the 75% for length.  Her head is also in the 75% but I don't remember the number.  Overall, she's healthy and right on target.  Now we just have to hope she starts sleeping better...

Checking out the Exersaucer

We put Noelle in the exersaucer for the first time last weekend.  She's a bit small for it so we put a couple blankets around her, but she seemed to enjoy it immensely.  So much so that whenever she stared at anything, she concentrated so much her eyes crossed a little.

Brady got a little jealous and tried to climb in so we had to stop him... Now he knows he can show her how the toys work from the outside :)

Noelle's First Day of Daycare

Noelle started daycare on September 1...  Here are some photos of her before we left to drop her off.
