Glenn's Birthday!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Gonzalez's for Glenn's birthday.  Here are the little ones (sans Brady who wouldn't stay still for long enough) playing before everyone conked out for an afternoon nap.

Silly Girl

Noelle actually really likes to eat now.  And she even likes yogurt, even though it requires her to allow us to feed her with a spoon.  Her favorite part about eating yogurt, at least from what we can tell, is her blowing raspberries/spitting it out once she has a good spoonful in her mouth.  It usually leads to an outfit change for all involved.  And yes, if you look carefully, you can see yogurt in her hair...

Driving the Car

One of Brady's favorite things to talk about, see and play with are vehicles.  Cars are great.  Trains are great.  Trucks are great.  You get the idea.  So when we got home from school a little early last week, I had the brilliant idea to let him sit in the front of my car for a few minutes.  He had a blast, as you can tell from these pictures, but getting him out of the car and into the house led to an epic, ear piercing tantrum.

"I Like to Move It, Move It"

Brady has some new favorite songs...

"I Like to Move It, Move It" - the Will.I.Am version from Madagascar II and "Don't Bite Your Friends"  the smash hit (insert sarcasm) from Yo-Gabba-Gabba.  They have been playing these songs for the kids in his classroom and now we listen to/watch them A LOT on youtube.  In fact, I think that Brady thinks the only thing my phone can do is play videos for him...

This is Brady watching "I Like to Move It, Move It"

Look how happy he is!

A New Park

Since we live in the city, there are a few different parks that we can walk to with the kids.  This is the one that we just recently discovered.  Brady and Noelle love it, and especially love the tunnel they can crawl through.  Don't worry, it's a tunnel, not a sewer.  I promise.

Noelle loved it... all she did was crawl back and forth inside the tunnel.  She never attempted to crawl out of it.

11 Months Old!!

Pictures we took on 4-20-12.  She's such a ham for the camera!

Sitting nicely at first.

Now it's time to climb... it's boring sitting still.

Why hello Daddy!

Now it's time to be dangerous...

Belly flop!

Lots of new things this month.

She's a bit of a daredevil nowadays - her favorite place to crawl is to Olive.  Olive isn't a fan and Noelle has no clue... We spend a lot of time separating them, only to repeat five seconds later when she's crawled back to Olive.  She pulls up on everything and even stands without holding on to anything for 5-10 seconds.  A little bit of cruising on the furniture, but for now she prefers to crawl everywhere.  She also LOVES being outside and LOVES when we let her hang upside down anywhere.  She will actually fling herself back when we're holding her just to go upside down.

She is sleeping SO MUCH better at night.  Typically, we have one waking between 3-5am.  The only way she goes back to sleep is if I nurse her, but she falls right back asleep and then is up for the day between 615-7am.  For now, we are happy with that and don't plan to get rid of that last feeding yet.  She takes two naps a day for 1-1.5 hours each.  And she's asleep for the night around 645 (in her own crib in the room she shares with Brady, though she does come into our room to sleep in the pack n play when she wakes to eat).  So happy about sleeping on so many fronts.

She got two new teeth this month - both on the bottom - so that brings the grand total to 8 teeth.

She is eating really well - she eats three meals and two snacks a day.  We haven't started to transition her to whole milk yet.  We'll probably wait until she's a year or so to do that.  She finally will eat yogurt and actually really likes it (when she's not blowing it out of her mouth like a raspberry and laughing hysterically).

Although I don't think she has any actual words, she babbles gibberish a ton nowadays.  Lots of dadadada, yayaya, vavava, babababa etc.  She hardly says mamamama (go figure) but she is clearly trying to communicate what she wants.  She also waves now.

Such a big girl!

And Brady refused to let me take his picture, so this was the best I got as he ran by...
