Brady's Drawings

Here is another picture of Brady's drawings.

A picture of a tree with the sky in the background (according to Brady).

Big Girl Bed

Noelle has been asking to take her nap on our bed (because we separate her and Brady at nap time to avoid one waking up the other) rather than sleeping in the pack n play.  After she did that for a few naps, I decided that we should try turning her crib into a toddler bed and see what happened.

She LOVES it.  She got a real pillow and comforter (the Cookie Monster/Sesame Street one Brady used to use) and she actually tells me she doesn't want to get out of her bed in the morning.  Way easier to transition her to a toddler bed than with Brady.  Way easier.  Here she is playing in her bed with Brady the night we switched it up.  And, yes, she sleeps with all of those blankets and stuffed animals.  Blankets and stuffed animals are her thing.

Nathan!

Here's Nathan taking one of his last naps on me before he started day care mid-September

Tummy time!

Sunglasses Fun

Brady and Noelle really like to wear their sunglasses, even in the house.

They decided to take their animals to the zoo, so the animals had to wear sunglasses.  Obviously.

Also to note in the following picture... "Lambie" has a diaper on as well as a pair of Noelle's actual socks.  Of course.

Sometimes you have to wear sunglasses even when reading inside.

Potty Training... again

Noelle has seemed ready to potty train but we put it off a bit because we moved and Nathan was just born and really potty training is no fun.

But, for the most part it's been pretty easy with Noelle - she's been wearing underwear for two weeks and rarely has accidents, though we are having some resistance to going #2.  She really likes to wear her underwear so it's been a big motivator.

And here's Brady insisting that I take a picture of him since I was taking one of Noelle.

Three Months Old

Every one sit still, smile and don't move Nathan! I call it a success!!

So whar's new with Nathan?  A lot.  As for eating, nothing has changed, still eats every 2-3 hours during the day with occasional bottles. At this point, he really doesn't take a pacifier except for an occasional nap or if he's basically asleep in the middle of the night. Otherwise, it just makes him angry.  So, I am his pacifier more often than not.

He still doesn't have any kind of schedule during the day really.  He usually takes 3-4 naps but it's anyone's guess how long any nap will last.  As of the last week or so, he's started to put himself to sleep for naps in his crib.  Usually they will last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half.  At night, he's generally up twice, but also has been spending the entire night in his crib which is awesome.  We were only getting up once around 3-330 but then he got his first cold a couple weeks ago.  And before the cold, he actually slept from 730-530 three times, hopefully we'll get back here soon.  Nathan goes to bed between 630 and 7pm and we have a pretty good bedtime routine these days, where Nathan sometimes puts himself to sleep and sometimes doesn't.

He's become very social and smiley - he loves to coo and talk.  He also loves bath time.  Around 2.5 months he started to bat at and sometimes grab toys on his playmat.  He's also super close to rolling from his back to his belly, his pesky shoulder just keeps getting in the way. Finally, he has almost complete head control and has grown out of both most of his 0-3 month clothes as well as being held in the carrier in the newborn hold.  I guess he's officially not a newborn anymore.
