Noelle's 2nd Birthday!

We had Noelle's second birthday party at our new house.  Given Noelle's love for all things monkey, we did a Curious George theme and she definitely had a good time!

Hamming it up - notice the monkey shirt and stickers...

Everett!

Brady loved wearing his party hat

Noelle riding her new tricycle!

And here's a short video of Noelle on her new bike:

At 2 years old, Noelle is talking up a storm - full on sentences and she is always chattering about something.  Some of our favorite words are: "gro-over," "torta-illa," and "bubba gucky" (rubber ducky).  She is pretty laid back, although she's starting to learn how to push her limits from the ever mischievous Brady.  So far, she doesn't really throw tantrums or if she does they last about 10 seconds, which is very different from her brother.  She loves to eat a lot of different foods, although she's definitely a carb and dairy/cheese lover to the core.  She's still waiting to get in her two-year molars.  One of her favorite games is pretending to put her babies or stuffed animals to bed.  And at her two year check up, she weighed in at 24 lbs. 2 oz and is 33 inches tall.

New Park!

Here's our first visit to one of the many new parks in Berwyn/Oak Park.

Sesame Street Live

As a surprise for Brady and Noelle and as part of Noelle's birthday present, albeit almost a month early, we took them to Sesame Street Live.  Normally when we do stuff like this, we think they will enjoy it more than they actually do... this time we were wrong.  They both had a blast and sat through the whole thing - singing and laughing.  Once it was over, Brady immediately asked if he could see it again.  Definitely a great time!

The anticipation of the show starting

Noelle thought this really was Elmo for a while...

Almost ready to start!

And here are pictures from the actual show

Visit to the Park

This was one of our last trips to the park in Chicago before we moved.  Brady and I had a fun time.

Llama llama had an unfortunate accident - and Brady just thought it was really funny ;)

Putting Daddy to Sleep

Pete the Cat

Everyone in Brady's class got a chance to take home Pete the Cat and document what kinds of things Pete did with the family.

Here's what Pete did when he stayed with us:

Hanging out for a bit

Joining us at bath time (so did Cookie Monster as you can see)

Reading bedtime stories

Strep Throat

Noelle als got strep throat in the spring...
