Brady's Baptism
Brady was baptized at St. Ita's Church on April 11, 2010. These are our photos, although we should be getting some more photos from Kate soon. I will post those when we get them. Thank you to everyone who came!!! It was so wonderful to have you at the baptism and our home afterward.

Brady with his godparents and us

The only way we got smiles was if Sean and/or I was not in the picture. Then Brady was all happy to smile at us...

B.U.P. is still struggling to learn how to hold a baby.

Brady with the Thorntons

Brady with the Gonzalez's... there are a lot of these because it took a while to get everyone to look in the right direction :)

5 Months Old!!!
Such a big boy!!

This was the closest we got to a smile. He loves to smile, but if someone has the camera in front of his/her face, he will not smile. At all.

He's not waving at us, he just likes to smack his hand on the chair.

Note two things about the following picture. 1) Brady is blowing raspberries and loving it. 2) Hayley is highly interested in what's going on...

Looking up at daddy while mommy snaps pictures.

So over the photo shoot.

Although he sits up much better now, we still have a ways to go.

He's not trying to scare anyone. He's just so excited he's flapping his arms and legs.

So Brady has started doing a ton of new things this month... He rolls from back to belly all the time. And sometimes we see him do a complete roll over or two. He apparently does it much more at day care. He loves to blow raspberries, so much that he does it until there is spit on him and us. When he's not happy about something, rather than cry, he screeches until you do something to fix whatever it is that is bothering him. He's also started to grow back some of the hair he lost after he was born. Brady is so very interested in Hayley and Olive now. He loves to "pet" Hayley although she is very leary of his grabbing hands. And Olive loves to lick Brady's hands and face - some day soon they will definitely be best friends. And we may, knock on wood, have a good thing going with his sleep. For the past 3 weeks, he has only woken up one or two times in the middle of the night. One time is to eat, and the other, if it happens, is for his pacifier and blanket to be fixed.

What to do now?
Brady almost always rolls over to his belly when you lay him down on his back. He's cool with it at first, but then he gets angry. I stopped him from getting angry this time by taking his picture. The red light distracts him from how much he seems to dislike being on his stomach. The irony of all this: he knows how to roll onto his back. And apparently at day care he log rolls to get all over. He just won't do it for us yet.

Exersaucer!
Rolling
Brady learned to roll from his back to his belly in the middle of March. Ever since then he rolls over like it's his job. He started to do it in his sleep. At first he was not pleased with the end result. However, sometimes we end up finding him on his stomach in his crib.

And yes, it looks as though his head is hitting the side of his crib because, in fact, it is. Although this doesn't bother him, it has mom and dad a bit worried so we recently bought a bumper to pad any rolling adventures.

Fun Clothes
I wish Brady would stop staring so intently on the red light on our camera. We can never get a picture of him smiling because he becomes transfixed. And this is what we end up with.

And yes, I am wearing a suit... we must take all pictures before we leave for day care. Otherwise it's highly likely that Brady will not be wearing what he started the day in.
